Here is a pic of the prayer square I made for our Pastor who had quadruple bypass surgery today. I have included a pic of the book it came from. The title of the block is "Steps to the Altar" and the scripture is Matthew 11:28-30. For a prayer square, you tie instead of quilt. Then people say a prayer for the recipient as they tie a knot. They are small enough to tuck in a bag, set on a nightstand, etc.

Here's to a speedy recovery for your Pastor.

What a great idea ... and your book looks like it'd be interesting!

For prayer squares .... is the intention that the maker keeps it to continue the prayers? or do you now give it to your Pastor?

What a great idea, thanks for sharing. I will keep this in my bag of tricks for future reference.

Hope your Pastor gets well quickly.

FYI, the 2nd picture of the book you mentioned is not showing. Or maybe you are still posting it?

1) pic of book was upside down and hubby was fixing it.
2) after people knot their prayers in, you give it to the person you are praying for as a tangible reminder to them that they are covered in prayer.

I think this is a great idea, thanks for sharing. Would be great for men, considering they don't care for prayer shawls. I like this idea very much.
