Thanks to whoever posted an email about getting fabric from Ebay... I'm officially addicted!!

However, here is one of my first purchases - 10 yards of fabric. The picture does not do them justice -- they are very ugly fabrics... all blurry. I guess that is the crap shoot with buying online.

It won't deter me though... because I also got a fabulous package today with 20 beautiful fat quarters! :D

The fat quarters look stunning. Which seller did you buy them from?

The seller's store is The Calico Cottage. Very beautiful stuff. Some way over my *desired* price range.

But these I got for under $1.40 a piece. 8)

I've never shopped e-bay, but maybe a member who is enjoying doing charity quilts would love to have your "disappointments"? I think the first one and the blue with caricatures on it would be fun for little ones quilts, maybe not high quality, but okay for some little quicky ones that you tie or machine quilt yourself?

I've shopped on eBay. I searched for fabric collections I knew and bought them that way - was much less expensive than buying in Canada. I had to stop for a while bc it is VERY addictive.
Which set of fat quarters did you get?
If you used the ugly fabric in small amounts, would they be as noticeable?

Maybe. I think I will try that - use some of them in low doses. Perhaps for a quilt I am going to donate to a silent auction.

I am in Canada too, and my quilt shop charges $4.50/FQ. I just bought 58 FQs off one seller for $85.90 USD ($85.27 CAN) including shipping which is $1.47/FQ!

I am looking forward to the package in the mail!

Beautiful fat quarters, the other fabric would be pretty along with some other fabrics to balance them out :D :D

Hi, Me too I am addicted, but PLEASE be careful on Ebay. the Bank called me today to tell me that me Credit Card had been cloned and that I had to go in and see them. turns out someone in England had been trying to use a cloned card.
Some tips when using EBAY. Go into the Safety Centre which you will find on the left hand side after you have signed on it gives you lots of tips on how to look for fake sellers etc. Never pay by Moneygram. use only Paypal and never pay when they send it through to your Email account.

Hope this helps you to stay safe.
