Default LOOK: 7 Quilts for Kids Here

I posted a PDF with 3 different "American Stars" (5 point) yesterday, showing off light and dark lines. I thought if I was making blocks, I should make some quilts to go with them. The PP foundation from the stars I posted yesterday would work. It needs to be for a 9" finished block. Depending on which star (from yesterdays PDF you use) you might have to reduce the size.

If you use the designs shown here, enlarge to a 9.5" unfinished block and trace the star as needed for paper pieced foundations. Some of the quilts have bloks offset with HST and QST, sewn at 9.5 to finish at 9". So, for a HST, cut the [2]squares at 10.5. Place [2] squares, RST. Draw a diagonal line corner to corner. Sew a seam 1/4" away from either side of the drawn diagonal line. When you are finished sewing the 2 seams, parallel to the drawn line, cut on that line to make [2] HST.

I hope you like the quilts.

You must have a new version than EQ5. Electric Quilt makes designing so much easier than getting out the pencil and paper. I would watch out for block #6 with the equilateral triangle. When using the Tri Rec triangle, watch out because it looks like you have a seam right across from the top of the triangle which may create a bit more of bulk than you expect.
As the old saying goes, been there, done that !!

I would turn all of the corner blocks so that they mirror each other and not mimic each other.
