Here are two of daughters at home on a Sunday afternoon. Kentara is starting her bug jar quilt, and Carlita is making yo-yos to put on her flowery new curtains.

I love seeing kids excited about sewing:) Great pics!
|
How special to have our passion shared by our children!!! I have only boys and they could care less!! Lovely photos-great to keep documenting them!
|
What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Looks like they are having a great time! Good job mom!
|
It is nice that they learn early in life. Good for you to teach them now.

How wonderful to have your daughters share in your love of sewing with you! I have a 15 year old son who just doesn't understand why I love to make homemade things....it's beyond his comprehension, he could care less. I made him a very nice rag quilt with a music theme and he doesn't think much of it. Big deal, it's just a blanket to cover myself with..... Hope he'll appreciate it a little more when I'm 6 feet under.
I hope you'll post their finished products for us to see! |
I'm jealous! My girls are 21 and 17 and other than "you could make me's" they haven't shown an interest in my quilting. Hopefully when they get through school and can settle down a bit I'll be able to coax them into it. Enjoy!!!

Cute girls! Glad they have learned to quilt so early. I wish I had.
|
Wonderful looking kids and great projects. You can be proud of them...

Such beautiful girls and I can only imagine how proud you must be. I love to see the younger generation carrying on the old traditions. You must be a wonderful mother!!!!
|
How wonderful, they are starting so young and getting a good start.

Also, our house rule is, no one is allowed to sit veggie in front of the tv. You must be DOING something - a puzzle, or a yo-yo, sorting scraps, making balls of the skiens of yarn, folding laundry, making friendship bracelets, drawing stick people... I don't care, but DO something. They've given up arguing and learned to go with it. They've also learned that their friends are very often impressed by the things they make, so these days that plays well into the formula ;) |

Much better than tv watching and texting friends. Being creative. I love it. You are a good Mother for sure.

What fun! They are adorable!

How fun - what a great way to spend the day.

Beautiful girls, love to see them learning a lifelong hobby. Such a good useful one at that. I have two Granddaughters 24 & almost 18, neither one is interested in sewing of amy kind. I have hopes when the 24 YO gets older.
