I couldn't resist two blue doggy fabrics when I found them at Joann's this spring. The fabrics aren't very good quality (no surprise), just doggone cute. I wish there was more contrast between the two fabrics, but I don't think the recipient will mind.
I chose my favorite dog in the group, found a similar fabric, and created the large applique for the center block.
I have the quilt about 75% quilted now, and I sure wish my FMQ around the applique was much better!!! Oh well.

Emjay, I found it at Joann's....they also had it in pink, but I thought the blue was much cuter. It was just this spring....maybe you can still find it out there.
I find it much more difficult to find fabrics for boys than girls, I like to try to keep the boys in mind when I'm doing the charity quilts.
