This is a picture pieced pattern by Cynthia England called “Sneaky Ghost”. It was from the Quilts With Style magazine sept/oct 2005 issue 54. The end result looks like foundation paper piecing, but it is a completely different technique. It measures 13”x13” The border & binding print is Skeletons by Michael Miller that “glows in the dark”. To keep with the glowing theme I backstitched around the ghost & eyes with glow in the dark thread. I also used glow in the dark fabric paint around the pumpkin, eyes, mouth & the bats eyes. The back fabric is Halloween Nights Spider Webs on crème by RJR which I selected from the July Fab Shop Hop $10.gift certificate I won from The Fat Quarter Shop

"Glowing in the Dark"...ooooh so spooky

Thanks Moonpi
This is called Picture Piecing. I traced the pattern to freezer paper, cut out the pieces, ironed them to the fabric, added 1/4" around, cut them out & sewed them back together. This was a first time, a much longer process than paper piecing.

I'm going to have to try this way - my luck with paper piecing has not been that great.
