OK Eddie, I just have to ask this question: Do you have a job? How can you turn out so many awesome quilts so fast? My wife and I need to hire you to work on our Christmas projects! Great job!

That is a beautiful quilt. Of course she will love it. Those fabrics are so pretty.

Eddie, when did you get a new sewing machine? I read something about your in-laws, did they give it to you??? I know you're proud. Get busier...LOL. I have evidence, my DQ quilt & hot pad, of your professional quilting skills on my wall & counter. Every time I see them, I think of your Avatar & your sewing machine.

"To whom much is given, much is required." Is that a saying from the Bible or a poet? At any rate, it befits you so perfectly. And, you intend to give your quilts as gifts. Your have a huge responsibility to keep up the morale of your friends on the Board that we too can turn out those quilts.

Eddie,
Your quilt is truely fabulous. She is going to have a fit over it. (I know I would) What a wonderful christmas gift.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. :)

The first time I tried to FMQ, I used a thin paper tear-away stencil which was good for getting the general idea about how to do it, but I found that my lines were kind of jerky looking because I was concentrating too much on following the lines rather than making smooth fluid motions. So I tore that off and just went on my own with it. I really do enjoy doing the FMQ'ing, it's a lot of fun once I got the flow down to it.
