I think it looks great!

I love scrappy quilts and yours is wonderful. I LOVE getting scraps from my quilt buddies who HATE scraps and hate scrappy quilts. I feel sorry for them, they are missing so much by not doing a scrappy. I always think each piece of the fabric in a scrappy quilt is so happy to have a use and purpose that it's going to shine as best it can in any setting...Thanks for sharing your quilt with us. It's going to be so comfy and cuddly on a cold winter's night.

Honestly, I never liked scrappy quilts until now. What a great job and I love the fussy-cut idea. I didn't think to do a scrappy crazy quilt. You have given me inspiration! :D

Woo Hooo...your on!! I sure hope they are the really fattening...creme filled...fancy glazed...high dollar donuts!! And some of that expensive coffee...you know I don't come cheap!!

I don't either when it comes to those things!! LOL
You have to pick out 100 to get the prize! (easily done! Just look for "edges" not caught)

didn't really go for "sahing" as such. This is the Fun & Done so it is "quilted" by each block!

Yes there is no way I can afford all that fabric without just getting scraps! I just clip and place and sew!

On my part there wasn't any fussy cut except may be the John deer. The rest was already cut (scrps) that way! And it is fun to just "place them"!

That is so pretty! I like that one! Now that one you cut the pieces with a template right?

mkanderson 05-23-2009 08:18 AM

Now I want to let you know about the update on this Crazy Quilt of mine! I will have to make me another! My cousin Betty is 75 and found out that she has cancer! It is the fast going kind. Liver, pancreas and top of left kidney. I had the quilt 5 blocks down and 4 blocks across. I gave her the quilt and it made her really happy! I had thought about making her one for Christmas anyway! She now has it over her legs when her daughter has the air on.

that was actual a pattern, stack and slash method....some of the blocks were free hand Thanks

mkanderson 05-23-2009 08:29 AM

I have a Stack and Whack that I had cut (still in my box!) that a couple of my friends helped me to "whack" up one time (4-5 years ago) I forgot about it until Hubby was moving some thins in the basement. I need to get it out and see what I can do with it!

I like the "pattern" but I like just layng the pieces too and see what becomes of it!
I think I will try the pattern on the next one I do!

mkanderson 05-23-2009 08:32 AM

thanks

Crissie 05-23-2009 08:42 AM

Mary Your Crazy Quilt is lovely, I love crazy quilt don't you! What a great job and all the love from receiving all those scraps. Wish I had been in on this too. I know my sister-in-law did what we call a Mile a Minue quilt pattern, somebody else (sorry can't remember her name) calls it Crumb Quilt. My S-I-L told me she felt she could get ride of her scraps but in fact it made more.

Lovely Job, I'll have to try that method..
I hope your knee heals up fast and your able to get around soon. Eat an apple a day to keep that Doctor away and heal fast!

mkanderson 05-23-2009 08:51 AM

Thanks! I like apples so I will do that! The nerve damage will just take time!
I am going to make me another one! The ladies were so sweet.. I have plenty do work with I think!

Ninnie 05-23-2009 08:58 AM
