1,000,000 Pillowcase Sew In
2 Attachment(s)
LQS is continuing it's participation in American Patchwork's 1,000,000 Pillowcase Challenge and on Sat. we had our first Sew In at the shop for this year, next one is scheduled for June. We don't get many gals to come and sew with us but many of the shop's customers sew pillowcases at home and drop them off at the shop. Photos of this month's group and of some of the cases all ready to be washed and bagged for delivery to kids in local hospitals. We didn't sew as many cases as usual because we were also cutting lots of pillowcases sets to sew at the monthly Pillowcase Sew Ins at our Guild. Sew Ins at the shop are a long day for me as it's about 45 miles from home but we have fun sewing and talking and this month celebrated my co-coordinator's Bday. May in Jersey

Hi
do you make them all to a standard size ?? if so what is it?? Thanks Loulou |
LouLou, If you go to allpeoplequilt.com you'll find info about the 1 Million Pillowcase challenge and many free patterns for standard single size pillowcases. At our sew ins most gals make the simpliest pattern as it goes very quickly. Some of the gals like what's called The Hot Dog method, this takes a bit longer but it hides all the raw seams.
I love your message board name, we used to call my cousin Louise LouLou.
