Here's a picture of my 1st completed UFO for 2011. I acquired these dresden plates at an estate sale. I purchased a tote of fabric for $5.00 and these were in the bottom. I was ecstatic to say the least! They were attached to some mismatched fabric, so I very carefully cut around each one and hand appliqued them to muslin squares. I tried to be very careful and not disturb the old stitches that were holding it together. I had some old fabric that my step mother had given me when she gave me her old Viking sewing machine and cabinet. I used it in the center of each dresden plate and to strip and bind the quilt. The rest is simply muslin. I love it and am very happy the way it turned out.
