Oh I find the whole process fun from beginning to end. I pieced all the blocks, then cut a backing piece and a batting piece for each block (I dont make exact cut-to-fit backing and batting because I always square up after I quilt each piece). Sandwich those 3 pieces (I use either 505 or fusible batting by Hobbs), and quilt however you like. Its very easy to free motion or STD a block that is approx 19". After quilting I square each block, attach the joints and bind. It actually goes together pretty quick.
Love your quilts. Have made a few of these blocks for a demo, but never have made the entire quilt. Please explain how you join the blocks and the rows after quilting them. Thanks!
