You made already have heard of this but it was new to me.
And a whole lot of fun to make! There are only 3 seams.
I found it on Youtube- Jean Truelove. It's not her original design but she changed it up a bit.
Truelovequilts for you is her channel.

I forgot about that block, it was quite the rage maybe 10 years ago? Time flies and so many patterns to try... thanks for the link.

I have made this block a number of times nice to see her variation of it.

Oh, that was a while ago indeed. I remember my first ten-minute block . . . only took me an hour. Stay with it though, I managed eventually to get it done in ten minutes. I always remember that experience, however, it keeps ya humble.

Several pattern spin offs of her method. Mexican Star wallhanging and Dragonfly pattern are a couple.

I love this little block.
I made it out of 2 1/2" blocks of all kiddie brights.
I hand sewed it while at work that day. the next put it together,
and finally, hand quilted it. it took longer about a week to finish it. it came out great.
it's finished size was 45 x 60. you can do so much with this block. made beautifu;
coasters to potholders with it. ~~~~~Lynnie

nicely done. I've used that for my donation quilts in a large block size... works up quickly and folks are impressed :)

I have the book by Suzzane McNeil (Spelling may be wrong. Had it several years, not made it yet. I forget when it is time to make quilts.

I made a quilt using these blocks, too, and it was a fun project and I liked the final result.

I remember that block. You might also enjoy making Missouri Quilt's Mocked Cathedral Windows block too. Have made them both. In the process of making Missouri's block into a queen size quilt for a couple asking for a cathedral window quilt. Knew I didn't have time to do it the old fashioned way plus have never made one but had made the mock version.

Our quilt gallery has an album of member quilts made with this block: 10-minute block quilts

I won a blue ribbon at a local quilt show with the five minute block quilt. It was the fastest quilt I have every made. My DD grabbed it right up for baby quilt for my grand. Thanks for the reminder about these blocks. There is only one seam with the five minute block. It was fast to machine stitch the edges. I curved the edges and it looked great. The book is worth buying for the cutting size chart and pattern variations. Here is a blog about it: https://quiltingcubby.com/five-minut...with-one-seam/

Onebyone, thanks for the link and the info. That's a really pretty block!!
When I watched the other one I was tired but I got so invigorated by her video that I ran upstairs to whip one up.
Then I made 3 lol.
