Got the borders on the doll quilt. It's hard to pick what to use and after I put them on, I looked back to see what I used for the others. This works. It frames it gently without distracting at all from the garden. ;)

There's a shadow at each end, so I posted both photos for the heck of it.

Plans: to make the wildflower Bargello, then to make another horses in the barn top (donation)--then spend my week off in Feb getting all these finished. There are, ah, several more than need finishing too.  THEN to work on a big ole quilt top--pattern Back to Nature with Modas. I'll keep making floral log cabin blocks between all that.

I just love your floral LCs Karla....they always make me feel so "springy"!!! The layout for your neighbor makes me just want to wander around in it!

First pic is of the new blocks.

Second is of a wall hanging lay-out--it will be a gift for a neighbor.

Third is of one doll quilt and looks like I need to make more blocks to finish more. :D I have over 40 more blocks started, but finishing 12 at a time is more fun. I keep collecting fabric for these because I plan to make them between projects for as long as I can.

I'll get the tops done, then I may start that floral Bargello before completing more of these blocks.

Beautiful!

You must have a lot of patience. These are fabulous

pdunn56 01-30-2011 08:31 AM

beautiful! I love watercolors did a bunch of them years ago and have been collecting 2 inch squares for a new one which I will try on the Pellon grid where you place them and then sew the whole row at once attached to the grid. sounds time saving!

Shemjo 01-30-2011 08:36 AM

Karla, the borders look great.

Gai, the little dog looks like she has found a new home!

mypatookis 01-30-2011 08:50 AM

Your quilts are just beautiful! I am trying to figure out if you are using the same fabric for all of the blocks. I can find some fabric in all, but it seems like you are using different ones in some? It is hard for me to choose fabric for my quilts, so any help you could give me for one like yours would be much appreciated! :-D
Just gorgeous!!

paintbug 01-30-2011 09:13 AM

Super Wow, who would have thought that Log Cabin could be so sweet and flowery! I just adore it!

trolley station 01-30-2011 09:52 AM

Your quilt is absolutely a work of art. I am jealous. Don't have the patience for watercolor quilts.

eimay 01-30-2011 10:04 AM

Love them. I had not thought of florals for log cabin, but I will now.
