Hi to all!
In answer to questions I used a Bali Pop and added 2 1/2" squares at the end of each strip as I sewed it together which gives you 1 VERY long strip, then you fold it in half and sew one of the longest seams you will ever sew, cut it at the end you will have 2 rows, and fold it again and sew another long seam, which will be half of the first gtiving you 4 strips together, repeat this about 5 times depending on the width and length you want it. Then add your borders. Hope this helps! |
I thought that looked like a Bali Pop - I think I have that one. :) Very pretty result.

1600 is how many inches you have once you sew all the strips into one long strip. This is a VERY fun top to make
|
That is lovely. Will have to try that after I get my current 1600 done.

I want to do one of these one day!

I love the added squares!!! They add such a pop to the quilt. Thanks for sharing the photos and explanation on how you created it.

Gosh! It's beautiful!

That is a beautiful quilt! thanks for sharing!

I found this again after reading another post this morning. If you don't mind answering my question, it would be appreciated!
How much fabric did you have for the purple border and the little squares (approximately)? Am definitely going to try this soon! Thanks in advance! |
Sorry, am having a brain fog here!!!
If I remember I cut 5 6 1/2" strips for border, and 3 2 1/2" then subcut into 2 1/2" squares. Maybe a yard and a quarter, I did have some left overs. You don't have to make the border that wide if you don't want to. Hope this helps! Sandy |
