A week ago, my Grand niece surprised me by coming to stay with us. After looking over my shoulder at all the quilts posted here on the board, she asked for a scappy quilt for Christmas. Off to the studio we went. Thanks to a good friend, Jo Parrot, I had been cutting strips of 2" strips into 3 1/2" pieces. I had a whole basket full of them. I grabbed the basket & started sewing. Three days later, here's the quilt. The quilt measures 81 X 90. My niece helped with the ironing & kept feeding me pieces so that we'd get it done by Christmas. She's doing the binding now, so it will be under the tree. Oh! She didn't know how to sew when we started this & I think I have a new quilter in the family!
