I know, I'm still learning, but I am getting the hang of it, I think... The tumbling blocks is for my son's 21 bday, and the other is for my little peekapoo and she just loves it, LOL

I'm learing how to hand quilt from a teacher nearby, but these had to get done by machine for the holidays. I also made some potholders for xmas gifts too.

Just thought I'd share with everyone!

Janstar 12-21-2008 10:36 AM

Nice job Crafty1. You don't look like a beginner on your tumbling blocks.

SulaBug 12-21-2008 11:09 AM

I agree with everyone else, you did a wonderful job. I especially like your tumbling blocks piece. My little doggie would love the dog blanket too.

Happy Holidays,

You are doing great...They are beautiful....

Pamelajo 12-24-2008 06:22 PM

They are all beautiful but the peek a boo is exactly the pattern I have been looking for. I am using my children's baby clothes to make a quilt for each. Could you tell me what size squares you used and any other information that would be helpful? I am a beginner. :(

Izy 12-24-2008 09:28 PM

Well it looks like you have certainly got the 'hang' of quilting, those are stunning, well done and happy christmas :D

Crafty1 12-25-2008 04:38 AM

Thanks everyone for the messages! I'm motivated to start more projects. Sometimes I just need a little boost...

My son loves it!!! YAY He lives in NJ so he doesn't know what goes on "behind the scenes" in making things. He is so surprised that I made it. He really likes the Tumbling Blocks pattern as a wall hanging and he says I should continue to make more. I am so happy! Now if I only can get my dog can speak, I believe she would say "I love my blanket"! LOL

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hi Pam, The squares are the Oh My Dog by Lori Gardner for Moda, 40 5" squares, charm pack, 100% cotton. I got these off of Ebay about a month or so ago. I just checked ebay and there's some sellers that have them. Also check the LQS, or fabric.com has a sale on them as well. I hope this helps!

Renee 12-25-2008 06:57 AM

They are awesome!

Really nice Keep up the good work. I do almost all hand quilting and I just can't get into doing it on machine. I wish I did, it would sure go faster and I'm not sure many people really appreciate the hand quilting. But that is the way I was taught and it's something I enjoy.

Sweetness 01-25-2009 09:13 PM

I'd have to say it looks like you've "learned". They look great!!!

Congratulations =)

sewnsewer2 01-25-2009 10:02 PM
