1st Taggie Toy

This is the first taggie toy I have made and I thought it turned out pretty good. It is for a shower I am going to on Saturday so I am glad it went together pretty easily. Tonight I will hand quilt it in areas in the center.

I don't have a pattern that I used since I have looked at so many ideas for them. I also attached one tag to a pacifier clip to one end. Mommy can attach it to whatever she wants, stroller maybe, so it stays off the floor. Elmer's glue came in very handy. My center is a foil Lipton's tea wrapper. However, if I do it again I will use cereal plastic liners that Cheerios comes in. They are much stronger. Turning it inside out was a little challenging but the tags actually made it quite easy once I got the hang of it. For strength I sewed around the border twice. The crinkle sounds are suppose to intrigue baby. Think it will work well. A little hard to keep my fingers off of it. :D

Interesting. On my computer my photos are not upside down but when downloading onto the board, I found that the board is shifting them. That might be why so many who post photos find theirs are upside down.

Will the Cheerios bag make it thru the washer and dryer?

It came out cute. The more we post, the more we learn to tweak our quilted projects. Sounds like you reinforced the ribbon.

Yes. Any cereal plastic is very strong, hence I open mine with scissors. I am going to toss mine in the washer today to make sure it will hold up.
