Okay, got the bug, went and purchased the Bow Tucks Tote Bag from Connecting Threads. Got it on sale, such a bargain at $17.85, (sale in March when I got it. and just now got to making it). Anyways, I got more than I bargained for!!! The Large Tote in the Cheep Talk fabric, some fabric left over, made a smaller version of the bag, and still had some fabric left over. Made a wallet. Now I have to admit that I did add 2/3 yard of fabric from my stash to cover the inside bottoms of the bags and used some of it on the wallet. But Hey, such a Deal!!! I really feel good. I will be selling the Large Bag since it is bigger than I usually use. PM me if you are interested.
Here are my pix!

THANKS, JUKI FOR A JOB WELL DONE!

Everything turned out beautifully! Great job! What pattern did you use for the wallet?

Ditter43 07-02-2010 03:17 PM

RedGarnet222 07-02-2010 04:01 PM

Wow That is good to know they include enough fabric for two of them in thier kits and a wallet too?
I love that fabric and the way you made the buttons with the bird on them. Very very cute!

jabs317 07-02-2010 04:03 PM

great job

Those are all so cute. I love the fabric line you got. Their quilt kits are the greatest. There is always lots of extra fabric. Just in case you need it. You certainly made good use of your extra fabric.

quilterwanabe7 07-02-2010 08:33 PM

love them. Does any one have a pattern that is smaller? Sometimes I like a smaller purse.

Pineapple Princess 07-02-2010 08:56 PM

Cute!

sewnsewer2 07-02-2010 10:16 PM

Very nice bags and wallet! I do hope you didn't pay that price for just the pattern tho.

Don't you just love your juki? I love mine. :D

The wallet pattern from Etsy by Krazy Fashion Accessories, PDF pattern called "Hold Everything Wallet". I did tweek it a bit, originally comes with a zippered side for change. I did not want that. So I made it the same on both sides of the inside.

I too LOVE MY JUKI - MINE IS A TL98E, I HAVE HAD IT FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS!!! NEVER LETS ME DOWN. THAT IS WHY I HAD TO SEND PIX OF IT AND GIVE IT CREDIT, TOO!

Another wallet with small coin purse

No, pattern was included with fabric kit. It is for the large Bow Tucks bag. Too big for me, so I played with the measurements a bit and made a smaller version.
YES! I LOVE MY JUKI!!!

Very nice :!:

Pam B 07-03-2010 05:59 AM

It all looks very, very nice! I would say you certainy got your money's worth this time. I have looked at both bow-tucks bags made up in a store and I agree that the larger one is more like a tote and bigger than I like to carry for a purse.

adrianlee 07-03-2010 06:51 AM

Love your colors. the wallet and coin purse are so cute.

jamh 07-03-2010 08:20 AM

Can you tell me what the name of that block in your avatar is and is it paper pieced? Love it!

all you people do such wonderful jobs....I got inspired and bought the pattern to make my own bow tuck purse.....I am reading the directions......LOST....doesn't even begin to describe how I feel.....I need step by step pictures

Not paper pieced. It is out of a book called " All-Star Sampler" by Roxanne Carter for That Patchwork Place. The name of the block is Castle Keep. There are 12 blocks in this sampler and they are just gorgeous! I pieced that block and several others from the book but that one was my favorite! Thanks, Kat

Tarib, I just finished a mini-Bow Tucks bag this afternoon. There were a couple places where the instructions were a little unclear but, for the most part, they are very good. Feel free to ask when you have questions. Several people on here have made them and I know everyone is happy to help.

kpc 07-03-2010 04:33 PM

I got the same kit. I love mine.

tarib 07-03-2010 04:58 PM

I'm checking with the fabric shop near me, they gave a class last January, I'm hoping they will have another one. See I'm not really a sewer, just a quilter

dgmoby 07-03-2010 05:16 PM

Very Pretty!

SassySewer53 07-03-2010 06:48 PM

I love them! Never have sewn with a Juki. I have only heard great things about them, tho.

Now, I need to consider getting the fabrics and pattern for this bag. I am always looking for a great bag. The wallet is also a great addition.

craftybear 07-03-2010 06:50 PM
