How do you do that? It is beautiful. What is it called? Is it a pattern? Okay, you'll have to excuse me because I'm a newbie with a lot to learn. Thanks for sharing.

Correction: No, I don't think it is reverse applique. I am not that familiar with reverse applique.

clawson556 11-22-2011 11:11 AM

Oh my goodness that's beautiful. I have a pattern for one but haven't been brave enough to try it yet.

this technique is new to me so I'm glad you showed us your beautiful work. There seems to be no end to what the quilters on this board can do. That's why I love it here.

suezquilts 11-22-2011 03:33 PM

This is great! What a perfect quilt and only two fabrics.
Enjoy

dunster 11-22-2011 04:11 PM

Beautiful! The rose was the first 2FAQ I did as well, and I liked that pattern so much I made two in different colors. I also shared mine on the board - here - http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...q-t144873.html

They're addictive! I have a couple more that are finished but aren't quilted yet and one (the giraffes) that I've been working on off and on for a while. I'm almost afraid to finish it, because that will mean I have to start another.

stitcherlady 11-22-2011 04:14 PM

Wow, that is really cool. I would like to try that sometime.

RuthFru 11-22-2011 04:55 PM

Thanks Dunster, you are the one that got me started. I was so inspired by yours. Mine will never be as pretty as yours but I just love doing them. I am doing the Hibiscus now. Have 2 more patterns after that.
