I found a bin full of 6 inch squares from long ago.my 3 yr old grandson helped me pick a solid color to put with them-he picked gray-so I cut 3 yds of gray into 6 inch squares and came up with these.my basket of to be quilted is overflowing again. these 2 are similar but not identical

Love it! This looks like one of those cozy kind of quilts you want to snuggle under. Are you going to tie it or quilt it?

Very pretty! I really like the gray blocks in between the other colors. :)

Gray was a good choice. i have made may quilts similar to those. One year I made several for Christams that had either red or green solid and alternated with Christmas fabrics. Nice job!

Very nice! Is it made of poly?

harvsstuff 03-22-2011 11:05 AM

These are very nice and I like using the gray fabric.

Very nice! I find it soothing for all the bright colors.

Very nice piecing .... all those edges seem to perfectly match.
Will be posting a similar project I just machine quilted, to give you an idea
of how to finish it. Look in "pictures" by Quiltqtrs.

Nice arrangements. I'm surprised a little one would choose 'gray" instead of a bright color. :-)

The gray is fine. I like gray. As caliquocat said, it does seem an unusual for a youngster to choose, but it works just fine! Nice work!

Your grandson has a good eye for color. The gray goes so well with all the other squares.
