Lisa T 09-14-2009 07:31 PM

Those are cool! What are the centers?

allisonirons 09-14-2009 07:45 PM

very cool !

dvseals 09-14-2009 07:51 PM

The centers are actually t-shirt iron-ons I found on eBay, paid like 5$ total for them.
Put them on cotton fabric and boy were they a bear to get transferred onto the fabric and still had parts of them that didn't make the transfer at all but it's difficult to tell.
Sent my sis a pic of the red one before it was finished and she show'd my brother (the boys' dad) and he said wayyyyy cool,
so that's prolly close to what the boys will say too. :)

PS thanx for the comments :) :)

it's going to take a day or two for my poor back to recover lol

Iluv2quilt 09-14-2009 07:55 PM

You did an awesome job on these! I made a log cabin quilt for my daughter out of skulls and roses. Must be the day and age. They'll love them!

That's a good idea! (I was actually wondering if they were t-shirts that you had fussy cut.)

reneebobby 09-15-2009 05:06 AM

Oh scary hehehe did you quilt that with glow in the dark thread?

Mamaskeeto 09-15-2009 05:28 AM

I've got an 11 year old nephew who would love this quilt.
Great job. There will be two lucky boys at Christmas time.

mytwopals 09-15-2009 07:08 AM

Gosh. Who wouldn't like them? I sure do! Just hope they don't have nightmares. :D

dvseals 09-15-2009 07:39 AM

Renee nope not quilted yet trying to decide how to go about that atm.

mtp doubt they have nightmares apparently this was the type of thing they brought home as souvenirs from their trip to the Black Hills.

I kinda like 'm myself and when I saw this particular iron-on, I said, "That's the one!"

littlehud 09-15-2009 10:25 AM

SandyMac 09-16-2009 06:22 AM
