I used panels that I cut up & used to make quilts about 50"x60". The first one is backed with green minkie,"quilted", tacked with a little star-like stitch that makes the quilt puffy. The other one is backed with red flannel and with a lot of outline stitching.

Both are darling. I notice the first quilt had a striped border on the diagonal. Boy is that a great effect.
