I found a pattern on the net for this table runner and decided to try it, so I went and got some Christmas fabric and this is what I came up with.

Thank you for the comments, all I did was do a search for
"Videos for a fancy 4 patch table runner" and I watch and watch and replayed these many times to get all the measurements, and then went a head and cut everything out.... very easy, I went ahead and made another one just bigger, will have a picture soon for it.

This is the link to the videos - really nice step-by-step instructions. I may give this a try!

I did note that she used poly batting, but said she wanted to use it as a hot mat. Better to use cotton batting in that case.
