I just finished making a baby quilt for my daughter's friend from school. A very special pregnancy long worked for and hard gained. The parents picked the colors, I did the rest. :D Soft calm colors is not my go to for babies. LOL

I also finished, just today, a comfort quilt for an 8th grade girl with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is a friend of my granddaughter. I normally don't use black in comfort quilts, but this one really called out for it and both my daughter and granddaughter wanted me to use it, so I did. They both said this Jewel Box quilt is definitely her!

Last one is my favorite, black was the only color to set off those beautiful colors.

As the first one showed up, I thought what soft colors. Both are lovely.

Mom and Dad got a perfect soft color quilt. They will cherish it.

The black really pops the colors

They are both very pretty and I am very fond of the name and Lorelai is the name of one of my granddaughters.

They are both nice - but the second one really appeals to me! Love the vibrant colors against the black.

Very pretty baby quilt in the soft calm colors. I especially love the jewel box quilt and the black just really makes the colorful squares "pop". Love the backing with the butterfly fabric and putting her name on the back just makes it more lovely and personal. What a great gift for her.

Both quilts are very nice, I especially like the black background one.

They are both special in their own ways and so different. The black with bright colours really calls to me. I love the contrast in that one.

I'm much more about high contrast, but I realize other people appreciate other things. In both cases your quilts are beautiful and most importantly kind gifts.
