It is a fusible grid I purchased from Quiltsmart. It is called 2" Watercolor Grid. http://www.quiltsmart.com/Pages/SOFI_method.htm

Nice blocks! I've seen Donna Dewberry do this on her TV show and it looks pretty easy watching her do it.

I used the 2" grid when I made this wall hanging for my church.

I love their Mondo bags too. Super easy. Your blocks look perfect!
