i made t his pattern a few years back--in black,gold, red and cream. and i did two exactly alike as at time i had two supervisors ( they shared the position)and made them for Xmas gifts from ou team. I quilted them with gold colored Sulky thread and then was afraid the thread wouldnt stand up well so re-quilted again with black'
