San Diego had their quilt show this weekend, well Thursday - Saturday. It features local artist in a non juried show. Here are the Quilts that won the viewer's choice awards.
The miniture quilts were phenomenal. The show quest artist was Mickey Lawler who does the "Skydyes" and her work is beautiful. The show benefits a local charity, this year was Center For Community Solutions: Project Safe House for those dealing with issues of domestic violence. Enjoyed it but my feet were sore. 2nd Place Dutch Treat - Charlene Hauri, applique blocks inspired by Delft China, Chinese porcelains and Italian tile work pattern by Judy Garden [ATTACH=CONFIG]17159[/ATTACH] 3rd Place - Sorry I cannot see the number so don't know the name of the quilter.
