I have pieced this several times, and always have hand quilted it, as it is a design that does not seem to be one to cross-hatch or otherwise superimpose a quilting design over the hexagons. Congratulations on finishing yours. I especially like your border, and will consider using your idea. Mine have been generally following the hexagon for edges, not blocked off or evened up in the border.

That is gorgeous!! I've started doing the 1" hexagons too and hope someday to have a quilt as pretty as yours!!

You sure are patient. I would have quit after the first 4 hexies.

Wow! Can't imagine how many stitches that took!

Wonderful quilt and border. It was well worth your investment of time.

Love your quilt. I am making one and it will probably take that long too.

What a beauty. All hand stitched is unbelievable to me. In envy all of you that can do such a project. Thanks for sharing

Absolutely gorgeous!

How many needle stabs occurred as you did all the hexagons? The GFC has turned out beautiful - I like the white hexies.
