4-H Virtual Quilting Club Projects

1 Attachment(s)
This Club "It's Hip to Be Square" was totally run virtually by email of instructions and information, video and tutorial links and 4 meetings over ZOOM. We even held a ZOOM sewalong to work on our Achievement Quilt blocks. (I'll post that picture when the quilt is finished)
We had 13 members - two joined in from Singapore! One beginner was not able to finish because she was afraid to try using a borrowed sewing machine.
Because of completion reporting deadlines we counted a project as finished if it was sandwiched and at least ready for quilting. But these projects are now completely finished - we held a ZOOM meeting for that.
In February we are doing a virtual sewing project - ZOOM sewalong meetings here we go!

The finished quilt will be interesting, to say the least! Can't wait to see it......

So Proud of you SuzzyQ!!!!
and of your4-H'ers!!!!
WTG Jade ... for including your 4-H calf.

Maybe you should do a How To Quilt 4-H online club, to help those finish the ones that did not get them finished, and let the others learn different quilting techniques??

Always SO proud to cheer on Ontario 4-H'ers (and their guests from Singapore!!)

Totally curious how you "adopted" the Singapore members?
(and please note, green highlights for 4-H!!!! :))

These are all beautiful quilts! Impressive SuzzyQ your devotion during these tough times to teach 4-H'er. It has been 60 years since I did 4-H.I did canning and with my dad's help made some mean apple butter. Each one of these young people should be very proud of their projects. The ones that were not able to complete their projects for this showing have my undivided attention for the next set of picture. Thank you for the encouragement you give these young people.

Love this...a group after my own heart (head, hands, and health, too). I was a member, leader, parent and now grandparent. At 68 I still work with 4-Hthrough our local Alumni group. We raise funds for our local 4-H program as well as a scholarship program open to county members.

Fantastic get together to get the projects started and finished!

Love the projects! I learned to sew through 4-H and it’s been a life long love, even though my projects have changed from clothes to drapes/household goods to quilts. Still love going to a fabric store.
