4 More 4 the Preemies
6 Attachment(s)
After doing the red and white heart for a little girl, I had to do another heart mini -- this time for a little boy. I also love doing quilts that are reversible too so it can be used from either side. In case you missed the pattern for the heart, here is the link:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/pictures-f5/blankies-preemies-t252585-2.html Hitting the UFO's, I just added borders to this 9P crazy patch for a quick mini. The 3rd mini is a tulip mini I HQ and the 4th mini is all from leftover HST's. I just alternated pinwheel blocks with the depression block. The pins are still in the binding as I'm finishing the top and bottom today. It's HQ too. It's 25x28. |

Very well done. What a great thing your doing. I'm sure they will stay warm and snuggly in your quilts.
|
they are all great love the last one!!!
|
These are great!
|
They are all so so pretty, but my favorite is the quilts with the red binding with scrappy.
|
Great job on all!
|
I have a question: for what are the hearts and how to use them? They look very nice! And I think these little quilts are for too early vorn babies? I too sew these mini quilts, it's so much fun!

The hearts can also be used to either hang them up or use them as a mug rug (to place your hot or cold drink on) and they make a nice gift for someone in a hospital or nursing home to lift them up! I gave one for a birthday gift and she's using it to decorate her office with. Yes, the little minis are so much fun to make!!! Make sure you click on the link on page 1 to see my pattern if you'd like to make one the same size as mine (8x5.5). No clipping of curves was needed! It's so easy to do and I hope it will bring lots of joy to those who see it. Thank you for the good question! Others may have wondered what to use them for. Thank you for the compliments!! Hope your heart minis turn out great! Be sure and post here for others to enjoy! :) |

Hello, n2scraplvr, thank you for the information! I think the hearts a great idea, they look really cute! And I can tell you that over here we are too sewing these little preemie quilts for too early born babies! We get fabric donations and there are always enough scraps to sew such tiny quilt! If it's allowed I may show some of my last sewn mini quilts?
I made this time two quilts fitting together, perhaps for tiny little twins.... Many greetings from over here! |
