Very nicely done and the whole room looks "put together".

Absolutely beautiful.

BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I am looking for a simple pillow sham pattern with flanges. I love yours. Did you use a pattern and if so could you let me know where you got it. I am really a "pattern" kind of person...... :-)

The shams do not have a flange. I bound them like a quilt, the same binding as everything else. I used a Velcro closing on the back and you can't even see it. I have made pillow shams w/a flange, but just did it, no pattern.

You've done a fantastic job decorating your MB. I can see where you have the approval of your 4-legged quilt critic.

Very pretty. Was it hard to do the lampshade?

IBQUILTIN 06-30-2013 09:45 AM

Love the way the color plays off of everything in the room. Great job

This is the third lamp shade that I have done. I bought the lamp shade at JoAnn's. They are self adhesive forms. You take the protecting cover off and use it for the pattern. I had made the wrong size binding for the dresser runner and that's what I used for the lamp shades. They also have self adhesive trims for the lamp. Elmer's craft glue and paper binding clips all the way around it. They come in every possible lamp shade variation. I'm going to make a Christmas quilt for my MBR. How about a shade in one of those fabrics?

Does Domino always lay on the runner & not on the white bedspread? My kitties won't stay on the one I made. BUT they lay wherever. they want ... Soooo tired of cat hair! Use up a lot of lint, sticky rollers!

smagruder 07-28-2013 03:21 AM

Beautiful! Nothing left to say! How do I save this for future reference?

No, she lays wherever she want. She doesn't shed that badly. My 15 yr old orange tabby cat (the one w/hyperthyroidism) sheds terribly and usually on my DH's chair. Lots of vacuuming.

What I do, is make a folder on my computer, name it and the most critical - remember where it is. Then right lick the picture that you want to save. It will give you the option of "save image as", then find the folder that you just made, click on it, and name it (you don't have to name it - it will default to whatever I or the camera named it), and click save. You need to do this for each pic. I have a folder "Quilt Ideas" that I save pics of quilts that I might want to make in the future. At this point, it has 372 pics + 12 sub-folders for things like "Table Runners & Table Toppers, Bargellos, etc. I use that folder as my screen saver to keep me inspired about quilting.
