Your portrait of Larry is very well done! I wouldn't even attempt to do one of my dogs' face, and I've been quilting for almost 10 years. I have a teacher in one of my classes who has a favorite saying: "all great quilters were once beginners!" I think that helps us all put our work and achievements into the proper prospective. Keep up the good work!

Great job on Larry. Have been trying to do our fur baby for quite a while but can't seem to get it right but you captured Larry right away.

Someday, soon I hope, I will start a real quilt, when I have skill.QUOTE

You will never get skill by waiting, only by doing. Looks like you have a lot of skill already. Tackle something that looks really hard and you might surprise yourself. Good luck.

You did great on the portrait of your pup! I had to laugh (with you) about your wondering why you thought the angled corners were a good idea?? As it sounds like things I have done...and I'm sure I will continue to do in the future. Ah well, at least we get an "A" for fearlessness in trying, eh??
However, your angles look just fine to me.
Regards,
Kif
