I started with 6.5 inch squares that would be the 4 corners. I mailed a square to all that was on the bride's invite list. (or at least what momma sent me.) In the envelop also was a self addressed and stamped envelop. I did put a sticker on the outside of mailing envelop noting a deadline and who it was for. Some folks was not going to know me from Adam. I also sent a note explaining what I was going to do with the square and let them know what kind of pen, color, etc.... Now, I got all kinds of inks, all colors, but you know what; It was for the bride and groom, not me. I did not take the time to draw border on all the squares to show where not to sign so I did get some that wrote from edge to edge, even if I told them in my note, some did not read it. I did give a deadline because I needed to get it done. I gave them 2 weeks (expecting some would take 3 weeks to get back to me.) I can say that all that I sent, I got back.

Good luck on your venture. I really enjoyed the notes that came back thanking me for including them in this project. Phannie
