4 shirts + 7 days = 4 wall hangings

.................. Okay maybe it was 8, but they are all done now. These are memory wall hangings for my husband and his siblings from one (each) of their father's shirts. Each picked one shirt. I made each a little different, all are backed w/ the same fish sheet. (it was also his).
Several asked how I make my plaid dresdens. I use a folded mirror to decide on the way I want to cut the print. I figure how many blades I can get from a deboned shirt. Draw and cut out the blades w/ freezer paper, use the freezer paper templates to mark the exact repeat in the pattern, it is then pressed in place so I can cut around it w/ accuracy, no movement or pin distortion then sew.
