after i piece these .. should i border the blocks in black?
what would you suggest?

I like the black bordering... it makes the blocks just pop! and i love your colors! just fabulous and either way you decide shall be wonderful. Well done and i cant wait to see the finished product!

Try alternating black and white sashing around the blocks. You could do the darks ones with white.
