Hi everyone! Happy Independence Week!
I just finished these and wanted to share them with you. The Fourth of July wallhanging has a metal eagle that sits on top of the pole and a cord that hangs down like the rope. They get attached after it is quilted. It is called, "Oh Beautiful", after the song. I love the purple mountains and amber waves of grain. :D Connecting threads table runner Close up of the southern type fabrics The Fourth of July wall hanging... Very pretty table runner... I love those fabrics. You did a wonderful job on your wall hanging!
Both really cute!
Your table runner looks great on your table. The paper pieced one is just amazing.
Wonderful work. You should be happy.
I truly ♥ the flag. Happy 4th. |
Thank you girls! I think I might use the wallhanging as a cener medallion to my red white and blue swap quilt.
Both are terrific! Great job!
Like the colors in the table runner! Good Job!
WOW! Love them both!!

Those are both great! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful!
love your wallhanging and table runner
Great job. I like them both, but the July wallhanging is beautiful. I would give a "pretty penny" just to be able to get my paper piecing to look like that. So well done. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely table runner. Wallhanging is awesome!
Thanks everyone so much! It was fun to do. But, I have to confess. I had to remake one of the seven strips because I made it reversed the first time! Dang phone rang all day yesterday and I got fouled up making it. LOL! I guess that serves me right for not paying close attention. A blonde thing I am sure.

Really nice. I especially like the wall hanging. Thanks for sharing. :D

Love the wall hanging! Do you mind sharing pattern? Since DH was 20 year military I love all things patriotic.
This is just a pattern as far as I know. I had all of the fabric except the star fabric in my stash.
The information on the pattern says "O Beautiful" a 15"x26" Patriotic Wallhanging by Bette Runnels, 1999, Julian Yarn Basket P O Box 1513, 2122 Main St., Julian, Ca. 92036 (760)765-0849 I bought it second hand a few weeks ago for less than three dollars with the embellishment kit inside. Normally the embellishment kit is two dollars by itself. (It is a metal eagle and rope for the flag pole.) Just a lucky find. I used the June Taylor paper piecing printable sheets to print it out on. I will never do that again! I usually use just tracing paper and that works fine. This was a pill to tear out! If you do find the people (supplier), will you let me know? I want to get another embellishment kit to make another one. My sons are gonna argue over this one ... LOL! Have a great fourth and be safe. |
Very nice!
