5 minute block table runner

1 Attachment(s)
I borrowed this book from the library and wanted to try it before I committed to a whole quilt. I made this table runner before I made the quilt for my MIL. I curved the triangles and used that stitching as the quilting. That's all the quilting I did on this piece. All done on the machine. Nothing by hand this time. Since no one claimed it, it will probably be donated to a fundraising auction.

Thank you all for your nice compliments. I just made it up from fabrics I had on hand. lol so glad so many of you would have claimed it. My son and dil have a black and gray kitchen with teal accents so they didn't want the brown in it. My daughter and sil have a log cabin and it was too modern for them. My parents have a large lazy susan in the middle of their table and I just don't bother. Friends are having an auction for a little girl with medical bills so it will go to that. I had fun making it. Couldn't believe how easy it is.

I can't imagine someone not claiming it. I would claim it so fast your head would swim. It is beautiful and would look great on my table <grin>. I will probably be a copy cat after I get all my scraps cut up (and that will be a while for sure as many as I have in my sewing room). Am trying to get the scraps cut so we can use them in our little quilt group, but it is a slow process. Anyway you have a beautiful and lovely piece and I am sure any fund raising group would love to have it.

Quite lovely and how wonderful to be able to be completed in such a short period of time!

I think it's beautiful, especially with the curved triangles. You did a really nice job on the table runner - I really like it.

Such a cute runner. Love the fabrics & the colors. Also like the curved HST. Very cute. Great job!

How did you curve your triangles like that?

You Have to check out the directions for the 5 minutes block. The way the block is made, these edges are biased and curve very easily. I think they look better curved and I used that as the quilting.
