Nice quilt, the flange does do something for it. Who cares how long it takes, when its done its done. Thanks for sharing.

I do like the quilt a lot and ESPECIALLY the pop of color delivered from the thin little piping addition (is that what you're calling a flange?). I made several items using the "10 Min Block" and I swear.. I never was able to complete that block in under 30 min...LOL I did finish a nice sized lapwarmer using that block in an afternoon. That was a record for me. You gave me my morning laugh. Why do you feel like we have to race... I don't know.. but at times I find myself doing the same thing.

For me...sewing/quilting with a deadline takes some of the fun out of things. I often remind myself that "The Journey IS the Destination"...then I slow down and enjoy every little stitch of the process.

Love your bright and cheerful quilt! My first "quilt in a day" took three months and someone else did the quilting.

I think it is great and it is finished, not a UFO! Good job - I love it when I finish a quilt. My temptation is to move on to the next project before finishing the current one. Love your piping/flange!
