Finished up a couple table runners today for our community summer fair. Bottom one has binding, top one is done envelope method with top stitching on edges. Did simple SID on both.

The bound one doesn't lay as flat - if I keep it out & look at it too often I know I'll rip it out and redo before August. LOL

These beauties will not stay on the table long.
I think that you are right...the next one I do
I'm going to use the envelope method. I was
thinking also of using a much thinner batting,
perhaps washed flannel or fleece.
