Our power was out for 44 hours. Sigh! This, after being away from my sewing machine for 2 weeks!
So I have been catching up on lost time. The table runner is extra wide and extra long. I chose the black to show off the colors...I think I could have used more black or none at all! The wall hanging was fun - that 'easy Dresden tool' really is easy! The project was one suggested by Missouri Star Quilt Co. I dislike hand sewing, so my version is machine stitched. Then there are the 'bits an pieces' - that may become place mats. Just lovely.
You must be more than thrilled to have your power back! |
Yes, electricity is a good thing!
We have a generator, but not large enough for the whole house. Add in the fact that the pole with cable and telephone was also down meant life was very boring. Good thing I had downloaded books on tape! It took another 24 hours to get telephone and cable. We drove 10 miles and sat in McD's to check our email. |
I love the colors with the black...each color stands out...wonderful effect.

oh I love all of the bright colors you use - very nice!

I love the "more bits & pieces" (the last picture)

Beautiful job on all! I love the Dresden flower, and then the first bits and pieces. But as I said, they are all beautiful.
