Use a bias cut binding since it's curved and it will work better for you.

We used to use bias tape to bind off lots of things (way back when) - bibs, aprons, summer dresses. Didn't realize until recently that bias tape WAS "binding"
One can buy it in packages in the notions sections of fabric stores (and some WalMarts) One can also cut one's own - if you cut your own, make sure that you cut it on the bias - bias goes around curves a lot easier than something cut on the straight of grain. |
Commercial bibs come with bindings, so a quilter can Certainly put a binding on a baby's special bib!
Go for it. |
I would use binding. The bibs that you buy from shops have binding on them. So I think it sould be okay. :)

Many store bought baby bibs have a binding on them. Just look online you will see. You havent messed up at all!!! As usual we are our worst critics.

Who cares? The baby won't complain.

I think that it is beautiful and have never thought of making baby bibs for my grandchildren

YUP! Saw a few hand made baby bibs at a shower and they all had binding on them. No doubt, the popular patterns don't because it's just easier to sew & turn! I thought the bound bibs were soooo classy!

You got your answer already--I just wanted to say it's an adorable bib! The quilting is perfect!
