Hello all. I am so undecided by my background color I am coming to you all to see which you like. The pictures are alittle dark.

Lighter one is actually like a milk chocolate color

Dark one is Kona Chocolate.

Which do you like?

UPDATE: Oh.. I think the dark is winning.. I actually like it better also..
The background color is for my baby jane quilt. I should have said that in the beginning. I am doing it in chocolate and cherry and pinks, So those are only the colors I have so far. I am going to try to put as many reds and pinks in it as I can find.
Thanks for all your help... I think I will go with the dark..
This was my original color scheme for Jane and then when a wonderful woman at work gave me 15 yards of fabric I decide it would be way more cost effective to use those.. They were a wide variety of early vintage fabrics. (or at least they looked like old patterns to me) I actually made 20 blocks with a Tan Kona background.. I like them but they just dont do it for me. I went shopping again today to go back to my original plan. I figure for all the time this quilt is going to take its needs to be something I love from the start. I dont want to get burnt out on it. Thanks again.

I like the one on the right. It has more contrast.

I like the dark. I'm a high contrast kinda gal.

Another vote for the darker one!!

I think both would work.

Would you prefer one that pops more .. then the dark chocolate.

If you'd like a quilt that's more subtle and subdued, then the milk chocolate.

mmmmmmmmmm chocolate!

Not sure what your whole quilt plan is ... but with all those fabrics, maybe you could do some of your blocks with dark chocolate ... and some with millk? Or use one for background and the other for sashing?

I don't know the pattern you're making, but why can't you put the right block on the left background (and visa-versa)?

If you've chosen that group of seven fabrics because you like them, I think it would look better and more balanced if they were mixed up.

Yes, definitely the dark background!
