I've finished making quilts for my twin baby nephews, and now need to make one for my 6 yo niece. I've bought the fabric, but am not sure of a good design.
I'm still fairly new, and need to get it done for Christmas, so a fairly tight schedule (for me). The fabrics down the middle I have a FQ of each, and the top and bottom I have 0.5m of each, but can get more if needed. Any suggestions for a quick and simple design please? Thanks in advance Sarah |
I don't know how big you want to make it but you might just want to make a nine patch.

How about the disappearing 9 patch....I can recommend that as fast growing and very effective, love your fabrics by the way :D
Heres a link to the one I did :D http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/10782.page |
The disappearing 9 patch would be really cute -- and fast :!:

Sounds like a good idea - looks more complicated than a normal 9 patch.
Thanks everyone! A nd Izy - your looks really great - had to look up instructions to work out how your done it. I like you fabric choice there! |

I am not familiar with "yellow brick road." Anyone have directions?
|
I think just a simple Rail Fence would work too.

fun fabrics ! The faster baby (crib) size quilts are 6 inch squares. sometimes with strips between. I have been using hexigons.. take for ever ( ! !!! ) But beautiful.
So, your choices are many, check out a few books to get ideas.. Here you will get ideas through browsing. I love your girly fabrics ! Good luck, Ellen |

You could put together a raggedy quilt (or rag quilt) pretty fast.
