I've had this African Folklore Embroidery panel embroidered for a few years now, and hanging behind the glass door of my 'UFO cabinet'.
I recently got a new couch & chair and they have been asking for some pillows, so I nabbed a couple pillow forms at 40% off at JoAnn's & decided to finally put my birdie to good use! If you'd like to read about all my trials & tribulations getting it made, and where the backing fabric came from, click over to my blog.... :D The Front and the Back! Leora Raikin, a native of South Africa, but now living in Calif, came to our guild and presented our program and gave classes on this technique in January this year. You did a good job

Lovely! I have a UFO just like it but mine is a village scene. It is slow go as I only do it at the doctor's office etc. The birdy is adorable.
