I'm doing a BAMA quilt for my husband --- like yours better. He doesn't know I am doing it and asked if I can do a TEE shirt quilt for him (he has oodles of shirts from Senior games- he plays softball) so I am doing the back in Tee shirts and the front BAMA---even cross stitched Bear's picture for the middle. Don't know how we will quilt it.

I love it! I have Alabama in my blood and soul! You did a great job!

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm going to try to answer all your questions at once.
The pattern is Ribbon Quilt Block and the link to it on Quilter's Cache is: http://www.quilterscache.com/R/RibbonQuiltBlock.html You better love to make HSTs or it is not the pattern for you. Can't tell you how sick of them I was by the end... Yes the quilt does have big feet - size 14! No, the bare feet is not a southern thing - he goes to college and lives in NY, so not a southern boy. I was born in Niagara Falls, grew up in Rochester and lived in the Binghamton area just prior to moving to NC. My parents live in Penn Yan so I am up that way often. Again, thanks for all your nice comments. |
Beautiful Alabama quilt. I know your son loves it.

Roll tide Roll. Wonderful quilt. I just love Crimson and love Alabama college football! That one is for sure on my bucket list.
