The border is made of cones, yikes! Talk about scallops!!!!!!!!!!!!! There must be a million of them but then if I count them, I might get discouraged. You guys are too sweet. I already have it in my head that I HAVE TO DO IT. It will just take me forever and that's okay because I have no clue as to how I will use this quilt, yet. My dh likes it on our bed but what does he know, lol.
Okay, I just counted them, there are 60 and then the 4 corners.

I can't understand why. But if you really dislike this quilt that much, you could use it as a cover to keep the sun off your better quilt and protect the fabric from fading. :?:

Why not add a strip all around so its square :D

Jacque, QuiltersTV has a video from Sewing with Nancy, where they show step by step how to do the Ice Cream Cone binding. I tried to get the exact title, but had a problem accessing the videos on the site just now. Must be having some technical difficulties at the moment.

Thank you, Mytwo. I will try to find it. I have done a scalloped binding before but not with that many.

Thank you all for you nice comments. I hope I never stop learning.

I'm sorry if I gave you the impression that I don't like it. I just can't find a place to display or use it yet. It's 90" x 90". I'll fold it up and put it with the rest of my quilts, take them out every once in a while and admire them, touch them, hold them and stand and stare. If we ever get to move, I will make sure I have plenty of wall space somewhere to display some of them.
