now that sewing on the machine is no longer safe ( Parkinson's -isms) .. I ahve found an old hand pattern for Cathedral Window Quilt pattern.
Still adding on but a fun way to use scraps from old projects. |

So beautiful! I'm glad you can continue to quilt and hope you will be able to do so for a long time to come! Your "windows" are quite small! 12 in a six-inch block??
|
Absolutely Lovely..... IMHO the Cathedral Window looks best when hand stitched. A lot of work but well worth it in the end....

yes very small. finished folded square is 2 inches. three rows across, three rows up and down makes 9 folded squares.. small but manageable to hold while curling the edges to get the "window" effect. Have done this once on a bigger scale and never did anything with it.. So, this time my goal is 18" x 16" finish wall hanging.. close to that idea. Thanks everyone ! will continue with updates.. keep me on tack ! last UFO was 30 years old!! Have always done for others. This is for me. :0) |
It's beautiful !! I'm glad to see you're NOT giving up
