Such a wonderful family heirloom, make sure you thoroughly document it and that all the family members are aware of the history and significance of this quilt. You are very fortunate to have such a wonderful piece of family history.

Yes. it is Drunkard's Path. I will try to take a close-up of it this weekend.
My aunt, my Dad's younger sister, said she worked on it by candlelight during and after the Civil War. She also made the 4 oldest girls matching dresses also by hand. Will try a picture of that group also and post it aso!
