Was all set to order this fabric...
 

A lot of my online browsing is looking at fabrics and when one grabs me I often design something for the fabric, figure up what I need, and just order it. I might not get the quilt made right away but I eventually (usually) get to it.

I saw this fabric a couple of days ago when browsing the Moda website (unitednotions.com) and I just love it. It's soft and romantic and it struck me as something a Little Princess (not meant sarcastically) would love.

This morning I'm going into work late and was able to finish this design. It's very simple to just let the pretty fabrics be the main point. So... I get it all figured up and go to order what I need and find that it's not released yet!! Not until March 2012!!! Man, it's like getting your heart set on your favorite dish, at your favorite restaurant, then finding that they won't have it on the menu again until Spring.

The fabric is Athill Range.

It will be beautiful when the fabric does come in.

ROFL Especially like the analogy of it not being on the menu till spring. Well you are all ready set to go once it is out. Somethign to look forwaord to in the new year.

You should notify the company. They may be looking for someone to do a design with the new fabric. It's really pretty.

I did do a "notify me" when it's available at one of the big online fabric sites. :) I don't want to totally forget about it and then remember when it's not readily available anymore.

I feel your pain. It's a beautiful design and will be worth the wait, even though it's no fun to wait.

I totally understand. Last month someone posted for someone to buy a fabric from Pudocah's because she wanted it but couldn't for some reason. Well when I looked at the fabric it was perfect for a project that I'd been working on. I ordered it and was told it was back ordered; ok I'm not ready for it so no big deal then the next week they sent me an email saying they could no longer get it. I'm so disappointed and now I have to start looking for the right fabric all over again. Enjoy it when you get it.

Very pretty design for a quilt - and quite different from your other quilts. Looks like it would go together quickly and not become another 'neverending' quilt!

Can you have them reserve the fabric for you?

Yes, I usually go for very traditional patterns and this is more modern and young. I was first going for something Shabby Chic but this developed.

Could probably reserve it but just being notified of it being available on the fabric web site should be enough.
