Nice twist, I like it. :) What sort of batting are you planning on using? Hoepfully something nice and warm. Oh and tell him there is no way something that pretty is allowed in the back!

pocoellie 12-09-2008 05:38 AM

The black really makes it pop. Great job.

I love the way you have used the black in your sons quilt, it really makes the colours stand out...I would be abit concerned about it ending up in the back lol!! Your xmas flannel quilt is so cute too!! :D

bluebird 12-09-2008 01:16 PM

Thank you all for your kind comments :D Made the black quilt for my truck drivin' son 'cause ya know it won't show dirt  Just hope he doesn't try to tarp a load with it :D

Harmony 12-09-2008 01:43 PM

Great job on both! Your son will be thrilled with the black one!

Grandma Cindy 12-11-2008 06:30 AM

What size squares are those on the flannel one, love the colors and design... Maybe you could throw in a tarp as well so he wouldn't be tempted to use the quilt...

The pattern is Frosty Flannel Throw on www.allpeoplequilt.com

They said it was quick and easy and it was. Used Moda flannel fat quarters, worked up real quick. :D

Quilt4u 12-11-2008 03:17 PM

They look great.

Grandma Cindy 12-11-2008 09:24 PM

Happy Holidays,

All three are great projects. The flannel looks so warm and cozy. I really like the idea of using a 4 patch for cornerstones on your son's quilt.
